Rin and Vincent reconcile their interstellar differences and decide to be together. And that's the end of that. Not committing to any side gets you some really boring, unsatisfying endings.
It's almost as if the game is trying to teach us something? The Freedom Good ending sees Vincent borrowing money from the Boss and losing it all in a wrestling match. He doesn't really care about it, having adopted a freewheeling attitude, and just whistles away onto his merry way, sadly not in space this time. The Rin Bad ending is probably the best of the Bad endings in the game. While it does start with Rin leaving Vincent, declaring it to be 'for the best', it leaves a hope.
The epilogue shows Rin reuniting with Vincent after prolonged tours, and all is well again. The Bad endings in this game are pretty brutal for Vincent and the Katherine Bad ending is the least of them. As in the Good Ending, Vincent and the others explain the whole situation to Katherine, and Vincent apologizes.
However, Katherine understands that Vincent hasn't grown, and is still just looking for excitement, and dumps him. The Catherine Bad ending, in the same way as Katherine's Bad ending, sees Vincent making an appeal to Catherine to marry her. Catherine is disturbed, rejects him, and disappears. Vincent goes out in a crazed state and gets run over by a car. He survives, but we aren't told much beyond that. In this ending, Vincent heads to the Stray Sheep and has a heart-to-heart with Boss.
Vincent mentions that he doesn't want to marry anyone , and instead receives a hefty loan from Boss. Boss doesn't have this much money but loans him all that he can. The space program isn't mentioned too often in the game, but a giant space tourism poster can be seen taped to Vincent's wall. In general, this is still a lot of money. To make up for the cost of the seat, Vincent bets on a female wrestler. Ultimately, he loses the bet along with all the money.
To get this ending, the mysterious meter will need to either be deep red or deep blue. Having the mysterious meter remain in the middle will cause you to receive the true freedom ending.
The answer you give for question will not influence the ending that you receive. This ending is similar to the good ending. Vincent visits Boss at the bar and receives a loan.
Rather than losing the bet and all the money, Vincent manages to win. For this ending, the meter must be blue and the player must answer yes, yes, and select peaceful days in Stage In this ending Vincent reveals the supernatural occurrences and receives help from his friends and boss to convince her.
This is considered the canonical ending of the game. Getting this ending requires the meter to be firmly in the blue. In this ending, Vincent begs Katherine to take him back, but she refuses stating cheating is cheating illusion or no. Having suffered a blow to her self-esteem Katherine eventually works her way into becoming an employee with a fashion magazine and a highly successful one at that. Then in Stage answer yes, no, and no. Rin leaves Vincent and states he wants to help other people and is giving Vincent time to become the person he needs to be.
At some point in the future Rin returns to Vincent, though their fate is unknown. The Rin endings are very complicated to achieve and require unlocking Rin by answering the questions throughout the stages in a specific way. Roughly speaking you want to answer in a way that embraces new experiences and true love.
On a more serious note, I believe that a continuation of "Nighty Night" or "A Life Without Regrets" would be a nice setup for the future. In both scenarios, Vincent has a group of friends to support him, a full week of life-changing events to reflect upon, and a lot of potential to accomplish things as a bachelor.
From there, he's free to do whatever he likes. Catherine as the new Succubus would still be awesome. I felt the True lover ending was the most fitting given how I was playing it.
Also I'm a sucker for sappy endings like that after going through the craziness. Kinda like how Nocturne's protagonist was a hidden boss in Digital Devil Saga. That would be awesome. As for the endings, I'm apt to say the freedom endings. Rarely does everything end up perfectly and honestly, if I tried to tell my ex everything was an illusion and had my friends back me up she'd still call me a liar and storm out.
